Womens Hair Loss
We may tend to think of hair loss as being a problem for men but the reality is that many women can also suffer. So what causes womens hair loss and what can be done?
A key cause of hair loss might be a reaction to stress or to particular medical treatment. In many cases, medical professionals will warn you that this could be a problem before you undergo treatment, but it may not always be the case.
This problem can effect people of any age. The good news is that this particular type of hair loss (telogen effluvium) usually heals itself within a period of around six months. For some people, however, it can become more of a chronic problem.
You may not be aware but many adults do lose hair at some stage in their lives due to stress, so you're certainly not alone.
Genetic hair loss is a condition that we tend to associate with men, but research shows that a high proportion of women also suffer. Women tend to have a general thinning of the hair, while men are usually more likely to have a receding hair line.
So are there solutions to the problem?
You'll find that there are plenty of companies advertising solutions and products that are designed to make things better. Some work well for many people, according to trials. Others are clearly less successful.
It's important to point out that you're unlikely to find a "miracle cure". You may, however, find something that can make things somewhat better, which can be good news for those worried about their hair loss.
